What We Collect
When you sign in with Steam, we store only what we need to build your fumble profile:
- Your public SteamID
- Your current Steam display name
- Your current Steam avatar
- The Counter-Strike market sales from your Steam Market history that you choose to import
We sign you in through Steam's official OpenID. We never see or ask for your password, API key, trade URL, or mobile authenticator, and we cannot read your inventory, your purchases, or your friends list, or send trades on your behalf.
How We Use Your Data
Your imported sales are used to calculate your fumbles — the gap between what you sold items for and what they are worth today — and to rank them. By default your profile is public so it can appear on the Hall of Fame, which is the whole point of the site. You can switch it to unlisted (reachable only by a private link) or private (visible only to you) at any time, or delete everything, in your settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session length, and general device and browser information. This helps us understand how the site is used and where to improve it. Google Analytics may set cookies (for example _ga) to tell unique visitors apart. No personally identifiable information is collected, and we do not track you across other websites.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. The ones we set are:
csfumble_session— an encrypted login cookie that keeps you signed in after you authenticate with Steam.csfumble_stream— remembers whether you collapsed the live fumbles ribbon._gaand_ga_*— set by Google Analytics to count unique visitors.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any other form of cross-site tracking.
Affiliate Links
Some outbound links on this site — such as those to CSFloat — are affiliate or referral links. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps cover hosting and development. Affiliate partnerships never influence our pricing data or how fumbles are calculated.
Your Data, Your Choice
You are in control of your data. From your settings you can make your profile unlisted or private, or permanently delete your account and every sale we have stored for you. Deletion is immediate and removes you from the Hall of Fame and every leaderboard.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
